The client found me on instagram and chose to work 1:1 with me on a cosmetics brand. After a couple of months of considering designers, she chose to collaborate with me.
The name had only three letters — bém. It felt soft and pleasant, and I immediately knew the direction would be smooth and calm.
Logo design process
As always, I gave the client a questionnaire. Her answers confirmed my intention of a clean and soft look. I started testing various fonts, but none of them worked for me — I already had a certain outline in mind. When I feel it, I close my eyes and focus on that image.
By the way, this relates to a skill, it calls mental imagery — understanding what you want and what you’re looking for. Sometimes it’s about daily routine or communication. I apply this skill in my work.

Making a “photo” from my memory, I reproduced the wordmark I had in my mind

These two options were the foundation of the logo I considered. Once the base is ready, it helps finalize a symbol that fits. However, I always explore alternatives, because I might be wrong.

These options also include the proper font that highlights the name, and the client made a choice:

Brand guide creation
Since the brand was preparing for print, it was important to define a color scheme that includes RGB, Pantone, and CMYK formats.

During the development, we decided to use a color-coding approach.
Color coding is a method in which different product ranges are assigned their own colors to organize variations such as scents, formulas, categories, or collections in a way that is instantly recognizable. It emerged when brands expanded their product lines and needed a clear way to differentiate items while maintaining a consistent identity.
The product has scents and we chose the colors for each
